Brown Springs Baptist Church will gather for a meaningful and celebratory moment in the life of our congregation on Sunday, January 25th, as we set apart six men for service as deacons. This service will take place at 5:00 PM, following an official examination at 3:00 PM, where ordained ministers will prayerfully examine and affirm these men for their calling to serve.
We are grateful to recognize Barry Carter, William Malone, Lee Ball, Lynn Bolton, and Chris Long, who will be formally ordained as deacons, and Bryan Jones, who has already been ordained as a minister and will be affirmed and installed into deacon service at Brown Springs. Together, these men represent a commitment to faithful service, humility, and a deep love for Christ and His Church.
The ordination of deacons is a significant biblical moment for a church family. It is both a recognition of God’s calling on individuals and a reminder of the shared responsibility we have to care for one another, protect unity, and serve with compassion. Deacons are called to lead through service, support the pastoral ministry, and help meet the practical and spiritual needs of the church body.
This evening will be a time of prayer, celebration, and thanksgiving as we affirm what God has already been doing in the lives of these men. It is also an opportunity for our congregation to recommit ourselves to walking together in faith, mutual support, and mission.
All members and friends of Brown Springs Baptist Church are encouraged to attend and be part of this special service as we celebrate God’s provision of faithful servants and look forward with gratitude and expectation to the work ahead.
